7日（現地時間）、『TMZ』が「サンダーキャット」のコンサート会場でブラッド・ピット（56）と女優アリア・ショウカット（30）が一緒にいたと報じました。

最初、このニュースが同サイトで報じられたとき、アリアだと判明しておらず、”謎の女性”という呼び方をされていました。のちに、この女性がアリアだとわかったのですが、これまでも一緒にいるところを何度かキャッチされており、2人は交際? との見方をするメディアも。コンサート、コメディーショー、美術館、ギャラリーに一緒に出かけているのは確かにかなり親しい間柄にも思えます。
しかし、情報筋によると2人はただの友人なのだとか。
今年1月に開催されたゴールデングローブ賞での助演男優賞受賞時のスピーチでは「（授賞式に）僕の母を連れて来たかったんだけど、叶わなかったんだよ。なぜなら、どんな女性でも隣りに経つと付き合ってるってことになって、気まずくなるだけだからね」と語っていたブラピ。
